About Me
Rick Tomalty is a Mount Orford resident and retired teacher, of 36 years, from the Montreal area where he taught math and photography. Before his teaching career Rick traveled around Canada, the USA and lived in California. He has done many different things from running a candle business to horseshoeing and playing harmonica in a blues band with his son. After becoming a Scuba instructor he became interested in underwater photography which ultimately rekindled a passion for photography that he had nurtured in his earlier years.
Having traveled extensively, his passion for photography has resulted in images from a number of countries.
Rick is the past Nature Chairman of the Montreal Camera Club where he competed, very successfully, in club competitions for four years. His passion is nature photography but his work reveals a diversity of subject matter which is appropriate for a photographer with a background as colorful as Rick's.
